Fruition Brewing is a small brewery and kitchen in the East Lake Village shopping center in Watsonville. With a focus on fresh, local produce and community, we brew all of our beer right here, and offer a complimentary and diverse menu of seafood, soups, salads, sandwiches and small plates.

The Fruition Kitchen is looking for a cook for Friday and Saturday evening shifts with some potential for additional hours.

Our ideal candidate has kitchen experience, and is willing to fill in where needed. As both our kitchen and its crew are relatively small, each team member can expect to serve the roles of line cook, prep cook, dishwasher, food runner, and shift closer working together to ensure smooth service, food safety and cleanliness. We are looking for team members who display a passion for food, are inspired to further their skills and kitchen acumen, and like working as a team. We strive for β€œAlways better, always together.”

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: prepping food for service, cooking food to order, plating food, running food, washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness, deep cleaning, maintaining food safety/quality and kitchen organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use knives, can openers, mandolins, peelers, and other sharp kitchen objects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and taste, talk and hear. The employee is required to walk and stand for up to 6 hours at a time. The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee must be able to work for up to 8 hours in close quarters with other employees. The employee must be able to adapt to both hot or cold environments for a reasonable period of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employees must be able to speak with and interact with the general public in a friendly way on a consistent basis. Employees must be able to learn new information quickly and accurately as our kitchen menu will change regularly. The employee must hold a current California Food Handlers Card.

Job Type: Part-time Evening Shift

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
